At Menage Confort we have the obligation and commitment to reduce the environmental impact of our activity and today we tell you what we have done and what we continue to do to achieve this.
For many years now, sustainability has ceased to be a fad and has become an obligation, and the industrial sector cannot and should not be left behind.
Since our beginnings, at Menage Confort we have been working on an action plan to help reduce our environmental impact and generate as little pollution as possible in the atmosphere. We have carried out many actions and continue to work on them in order to continue to be an environmental benchmark company in the sector.
Sustainability, a value that sets us apart
We care about the future and, every day, we work to take care of it.
That is why, since we created this company, we have made periodic plans in which we have included new actions that will lead us towards the factory of the future. A factory 4.0, sustainable and environmentally conscious.
Already in 2001, we decided to eliminate the PVC coating due to the atmospheric pollution caused by its installation and the carcinogenic power of its products, and we replaced it with a powder paint coating.
With this new coating, we reduced the number of emission sources into the atmosphere, the amount of toxic waste emitted and the volume of industrial water used.
In addition, we include an absolute filter that allows us to eliminate all the sources of solid particle emissions, separating the excess paint, reusing it as far as possible and removing what cannot be used to treat it through an authorised manager.
Water reuse, an environmentally friendly solution

Industries need large quantities of water to be able to function and sustain themselves. This is why we must have an action plan in place to minimise the volume of industrial water generated.
At Menage Confort, we have our own water treatment plant that treats, purifies and reuses the industrial water we use.
In addition, we carry out regular controls that allow us to monitor water discharges, atmospheric pollution and soil pollution.
Our commitment to the 3R
Our main effort and commitment has always been and continues to be focused on the 3Rs: reuse, recycle and reduce.
Reuse is not only achieved through water purification, but also with the absolute filter and with many other materials that we reuse to get more out of them.
Recycling is throughout our factory, in all our processes. All our waste that could be polluting is stored and then treated by authorised waste management companies.
In addition, all the factory’s workers are aware of recycling and carry it out in every job and in their free time.
Finally, we work to achieve the maximum possible reduction of materials and processes.
One of the most important projects that is helping us to lead this objective is the incorporation of the Lean methodology in our factory. This new working system allows us to save energy, conserve resources, reduce consumption and costs and extend the life of products and machines.
The factory of the future
Menage Confort’s commitment to sustainability is not over. Every day, we continue to work to improve our processes and create new actions that reduce our impact on the environment.
We are currently working on two projects that will help us to continue to meet our objective.
On the one hand, the substitution of hexavalent chromium, also known as chromium 6, for trivalent chromium or chromium 3.
The main reason for this change is that chromium 6 contains pollutants and carcinogens of the first degree. In addition, it is very complex to purify water from this type of chromium. To achieve this, it must first be transformed into chromium 3.
The second project we are working on is the incorporation of absorbent mats in all our machines to prevent oil from coming into contact with the floor.
